Long Synopsis

Based on a true story, Grandma’s home becomes a sanctuary. Kimberley’s (Coco Jones, Good Luck Charlie) life takes a turn when she and her stepbrothers are forced to move in with their grandmother Margie (Loretta Devine, The Carmichael Show) because their mom (Wendy Raquel Robinson, The Game) is going through some hard times. Grandma’s home is already overflowing with adoptees: the rebellious Maryland (Paige Hurd, Beauty Shop), Uncle Earl, Aunt Loretta (Jazsmin Lewis, and Izak (Jordan Calloway, Riverdale), an aspiring athlete who is trying to shake off gang ties. Grandma imposes strict regulations on her housemates. At first Kimberly resists the rules, but she grows to respect them after seeing Grandma’s strength and devotion to God. Thanks to Grandma’s teachings, her extended family comes to learn the true meaning of love, faith, and giving— and what it means to be family.
