DETAILED SYNOPSIS:
Suspense novelist, William Rhodes (Ryan Alosio) is suffering
from a severe case of writer’s block. Under extreme stress,
William is unable to produce the novel that was due his
publisher weeks ago.
When William’s neighbor is murdered just feet away from
his own boat, he finds himself being questioned by the police.
Not only has William become a suspect, but Detective Sanchez
(Ray Clemente Rodriquez) points out that the murder was
committed in the same fashion as one of the murders in
William’s first novel “Killing Midnight.”
When William takes a trip to see his literary agent, Toni
(Wendy Schenker), he is introduced to her assistant Gina
(Karen Mistal), whom he instantly believes is the girl
of his dreams. When William meets with Toni, she puts on
the pressure for him to deliver his new book and asks him
to contact Professor Mort Sang (Mickey Rooney), a leading
criminologist, in search of material to inspire him.
During William’s meeting with the professor they
discuss the profile of a serial killer and it becomes
apparent that the character from William’s first novel,
and the killer described by Professor Sang are one and
the same.
Meanwhile, the killer Anthony Chambers (Joe Dorsey)
has moved in next to William. While William concentrates
on writing his book and romancing Gina, Chambers is
carefully plotting his next move. Chambers lures William
on to his boat which leads to a night of drinking, unveiled
lies and an arrest by the police.
The climax builds when Chambers abducts Gina and
sets sail on the ocean, leading William into a dangerous
game of cat and mouse. The final chapter unfolds with
high stakes and lots of action.
