DETAILED SYNOPSIS:
Regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern world history, Mao Zedong is still a controversial figure today, even thirty years after his death.  A foe to Stalin, Khrushchev and Malenkov, Mao went his own way, destroying his enemies’ plots and cutting off the heads of the disobedient.  Tens of millions fell victims of his grandiose social experiments, but nobody else but Mao won the hearts of the European youth, becoming their idol.
